Healthnotes Inc. (HNI), the premier provider of reliable, easy-to-use health, food, and lifestyle information for Web sites and in-store touchscreen kiosks, today announced the release of Version 7.9-2005 of Healthnotes(R) applications for supermarkets, pharmacies, and health food stores. The five department-specific applications were designed to help retailers offer consumer-friendly healthy living information and recipes to assist their customers in making purchase decisions in-store and online.
"As consumers become more interested in healthy living, it creates an opportunity for retailers to provide relevant and accurate information to help educate customers and drive sales of high-margin health and wellness products," stated Skye Lininger, HNI president and CEO. "Healthnotes is the most comprehensive collection of health, food, and lifestyle information available for use in a retail environment -- and we pride ourselves on keeping it up-to-date and relevant so that our retail clients and their customers can confidently depend on the information."
For Version 7.9-2005, as with every release, the Healthnotes knowledgebase was updated to reflect the latest scientific and medical studies. HNI's research team, lead by Chief Medical Editor Alan Gaby, M.D., continuously reviews more than 600 medical journals to keep the information current, factual, and balanced.

-- More than 100 new or updated articles
-- Over 270 new meat and seafood recipes from leading food organizations
-- Consumer-friendly short print option
HNI releases updated versions of its applications a minimum of two times each year for stand-alone kiosks, and quarterly for Web sites and networked kiosks.
