Interlink Networks, a leading developer of network security and access control software, today announced the release of the newest version of its RAD-Series RADIUS authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) server, Version 7.1, engineered specifically for Internet service providers (ISPs) of all sizes, OEMs, and larger enterprises customers.
Version 7.1 introduces an enhanced API toolkit that offers a User Interface (UI) API and EAP Developers API, in addition to the Authentication API tools that have previously been available.
"With the additional features of the enhanced API toolkit for the RAD-Series AAA Server, we are providing our OEM customers the tools that will allow them to enhance their branding and integration of the RAD-Series," said Greg Lucot, VP of Engineering for Interlink Networks. "With Version 7.1, our OEM and Teclo partners will also have the added benefit of an enhanced EAP Developers API to develop emerging or proprietary EAP protocols."
In addition, the carrier-class software delivers high performance AAA transaction rates of 950+ transactions per second, providing high reliability with fail-over, load balancing, and redundancy features. Earlier versions of the RAD-Series AAA servers are installed at thousands of major service provider locations worldwide.
Interlink Networks' RAD-Series servers perform critical network management and security functions such as user identity authentication, service and application authorization based on access levels of individual users, and network activity accounting of users for billing purposes. Interlink Networks RAD Series continues to support and promote Wi-Fi Security and WPA compliance with support of standard and custom EAP protocols.
The RAD-Series servers are available on Red Hat Linux and Sun Solaris platforms. Customers with current maintenance plans receive a free upgrade to v7.1, and information about Interlink Networks' maintenance contracts can be obtained by contacting the Sales Department at sales@interlinknetworks.com, or by calling (734) 821-1228.
