August 31, 2011

TheTeaParty.net’s cutting-edge petition system allows Tea Party members to more effectively utilize grassroots activism by writing elected representatives directly to convey their opinions on issues important to them as well as to directly influence policy at the highest level.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 31, 2011

TheTeaParty.net announced today that its newly launched petition drive has now sent over one million letters to elected representatives in Washington. From supporting important reform legislation to opposing increasing the national debt, these letters have addressed some of the most important issues facing this country.

âœOne of the most effective ways for the Tea Party movement to make a difference is to hold politiciansâ feet to the fire,â said Dustin Stockton, national spokesman for TheTeaParty.net. âœBy sending this many letters to Washington, we let our elected representatives know what issues matter to us, and we let them know that weâre watching them.â

The petitions are available at act.theteaparty.net, and there is no charge to use the state-of-the-art system that allows petition signers to immediately contact their representatives. Once an individual signs a petition, they are redirected to a page that lists the contact information of their specific elected representatives and allows them to contact them at the push of a button.

âœThis cutting-edge petition system allows the Tea Party to more effectively utilize its strength: grassroots activism,â said Todd Cefaratti, Freedom Organizer for TheTeaParty.net. âœBy stepping up our activism, weâre going to be able to directly influence policy at the highest levels.â
