The contest, which launches today, is open to anyone named Sara, regardless of the spelling. Entrants will choose one of four vacations that best suits their personality. The categories are: eco/adventure/sports, arts/culture/romance, family/attractions/beaches and culinary. They will then be asked to state why they belong on a vacation in Sarasota County.
The eco/adventure/sports trip can incorporate activities such as camping at Myakka River State Park, kayaking mangrove tunnels near Lido Key or a Baltimore Orioles spring training game.
