Alitalia Cancels Flights As Attendants Plan Strike International Traveler / Update: ROME

Alitalia has canceled 138 flights because of a flight attendants' strike planned for Saturday, the airline said in a statement
. Italy's flagship air carrier has been plagued by contract disputes with unionized employees, who frequently stage walkouts. The strike Saturday, which has caused the cancellation of 64 national and 74 international flights, will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.Source: International Herald Tribune
