Hurricane Rita Rips into New Orleans Airport Flight Schedule Early

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is operating under a tropical storm watch and is continuing to prepare for Hurricane Rita.The airport remains open and all airlines are operating although some flights are being canceled. Check airline Web sites or toll-free numbers prior to coming to the airport as flight operations may change as the storm approaches. Airlines make decisions on when to cancel flight operations based on internal policies.
The following flight information is available:
* Continental canceled all flights after 3:30 p.m. Thursday and all 2000 series Friday and Saturday flight number flights are canceled.
* Southwest canceled all flights Friday and Saturday.For the latest flight information, go to the airport Web site at www.flymsy.com.
