Clear Channel Radio Wins Six of Nine Country Music Association Broadcast Awards

-- Clear Channel Radio's Stations Sweep "Station of the Year" Awards in All Four Categories
Clear Channel Radio today announced that two of its radio personalities and four of its radio stations received the Country Music Association's (CMA) Broadcast Awards 2005. The CMA Broadcast awards are among the most prestigious awards given in the field of country music radio. Country music sensation and MCA recording artist Lee Ann Womack called stations directly today to deliver the exciting news. Winners will be recognized at the 39th Annual CMA Awards, which will be broadcast live on November 15, 2005 on the CBS Television Network.
Clear Channel station WSIX/Nashville won Broadcast Personality of the Year in the large market category for "Gerry House & the House Foundation," featuring radio personalities Gerry House, Mike Bohan, Duncan Stewart and Al Voecks. Nabbing the Broadcast Personality of the Year honors for the small market category is WUSY/Chattanooga hosts Bill Poindexter and Kim Carson, hosts of the "Dex and Kim" show.
In addition to honors for its broadcast personalities, Clear Channel Radio also won Station of the Year honors in all four categories, including:
-- Major Market: KEEY-FM/Minneapolis
-- Large Market: WSIX-FM/Nashville
-- Medium Market: KSSN-FM/Little Rock
-- Small Market: WUSY-FM/Chattanooga
