Connex Technology Announces Appointment of Barry Cox As Chairman of the Board of Directors

LOS GATOS, Calif., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Connex Technology, developer of the ConnexArray(TM) Programmable Video Platform (PVP), today announced the appointment of Barry Cox as the Chairman of the Board of Directors effective October 1st, 2005.

Mr. Cox has 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Cox serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. a publicly traded, semiconductor capital equipment company, and as a member of the board of directors of privately held Summit MicroElectronics and Softier. Additionally, Mr. Cox was an active member of management and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quantum Effect Devices, Inc. (QEDI), a fabless semiconductor company, from July 1998 until August 2000. QEDI held its initial public offering in January 2000 and was acquired by PMC-Sierra (PMCS) in August 2000. Mr Cox began his semiconductor career at Texas Instrument in 1969. He joined Intel in 1975 where he served in various capacities, most recently as President, Intel Europe. Mr. Cox holds a BS degree in Engineering from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from Boston University.
