Veridicom Announces New Update to Its VPAS Suite of Authentication Software

SEATTLE, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Veridicom International Inc (BULLETIN BOARD: VRDI) is pleased to announce the latest release of VPAS, its comprehensive suite of authentication software. Amongst its many features VPAS provides PC and laptop users the ability to restrict unauthorized access to computers and sensitive data in both the standalone and enterprise environments by replacing usernames and passwords with a personal biometric identifier.

The simple presentation of an enrolled finger allows VPAS users to: -- Replace password access to PC and electronic data; -- Encrypt and store files on PCs and portable memory such as VKI and other flash drives; -- Digitally sign emails with any PKI based certificates; -- Automatically update software versions through the Veridicom update service and through authorized partners. New features and modules added to VPAS include: -- The ability to share access to encrypted files between multiple users; -- A unique secure storage system for personal information such as Name, Address, Contact Information and Credit Cards, allowing users to submit personal and sensitive data to any site without the need to input it via the keyboard. An enrolled fingerprint is now the user's key to simplified sign-on to most web sites, allowing automatic submission of authentication data.
