Verso and Comnet Provide Aerothai With Bandwidth Optimization Solution for Air Traffic Control in Thailand; NetPerformer(R) Delivers Cost Effective Solution for Thai Air Traffic Control System at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Verso Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSO), a leading provider of packet-based solutions, announced that Aerothai (Aeronautical Radio of Thailand) has chosen its NetPerformer(R) bandwidth optimization solution to support Thailand's growing nationwide air traffic control system.

The Verso solution, distributed though Verso's partner, Comnet, will be used specifically to provide air traffic control-related communication between Don Muang International Airport, the newly opened Suvarnabhumi International Airport, and the Aerothai headquarters in Bangkok. The Verso solution meets Aerothai's unique hardware and software requirements and will support a substantial portion of overall air traffic communication within the country.

The NetPerformer solution, which will be used to optimize the network's voice and data traffic, is ideally suited for networks with limited bandwidth availability because it optimizes network bandwidth, re-routes voice traffic around link failures and ensures superior quality of service (QoS). NetPerformer's reliable operation over low speed connections was an important factor in its selection by Aerothai. The air traffic control industry has unique requirements and systems that must continue to operate reliably, even when low speed communication lines are used.
