Siberian Railway Ups China Crude Shipments 22% in 9 Mths
MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) – The East Siberian Railway increased crude oil deliveries to China 21.8% year-on-year in January- September to 5.703 million tonnes, said Russian Railways (RZD), the national railway operator.
Shipments via the crossing at Zabaikalsk rose 34% to 3.722 million tonnes, and shipments via Naushki were up 3.9% to 1.981 million tonnes,
September deliveries totaled over 651,000 tonnes, including 198,800 tonnes via Naushki and 452,800 tonnes via Zabaikalsk.
Under an agreement between the oil companies and OAO Russian Railways, oil shipments to China in 2005 should amount to 10 million tonnes, including 7 million tonnes through Zabaikalsk (3 million tonnes from Lukoil and 4 million tonnes from Rosneft), and three million tonnes through Naushki (Yukos).
