Winternals Recovery Manager(R) 2.0 is Certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2003; Certification Verifies Product's Ability to Meet the Highest Standards for Manageability and Security on the Windows Server 2003 Platform

Winternals Software(R), a leading provider of Microsoft systems recovery and data protection solutions, announced that Recovery Manager 2.0, the company's centralized enterprise recovery solution, has been certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. Certification was conducted by VeriTest, the testing division of Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq:LIOX), and the authorized testing provider for Microsoft's "Certified for Windows" program.
Recovery Manager is an enterprise recovery solution for Windows servers, workstations, and mobile PCs that provides customized recovery protection network-wide from a single console. It operates by scheduling system snapshots, called Recovery Points(TM), for computers throughout the enterprise using a low-impact agent deployed from a central console. Recovery Manager only stores single instances of system files from all computers in the enterprise. When problems occur, the product's rollback capabilities can quickly return unbootable or unstable systems to a Recovery Point taken during a prior healthy state.
Rollbacks can be performed surgically at the file system level, targeting any administrator-selected combination of operating system files, program files, user registry settings, user data, or any other set of files deemed valuable to a specific IT infrastructure. Recovery Manager reduces system recovery time to minutes and prevents data loss in situations when Windows computers are rendered unbootable or unstable by a range of threats including faulty Windows patches and security updates, software corruption, user error, power disruptions, and malware attacks.
"Recovery Manager is the latest Winternals enterprise solution to achieve Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Certification," said Edwin Brasch, President and CEO of Winternals Software. "Winternals will continue to provide customers with products that operate seamlessly and efficiently in large enterprise environments."
The Windows Server 2003 certification program was designed by Microsoft to improve the experience of customers when using applications in enterprise environments. Certification for Windows Server 2003 is based on a rigid technical standard which verifies that business-critical applications are secure, manageable, and reliable when running on the operating system.
"Achieving this certification demonstrates Winternals' commitment to provide a reliable Windows systems recovery solution for organizations operating in a Windows Server 2003 enterprise environment," said Steve Nemzer, Vice President, IT, Global Development and Testing Solutions, VeriTest. "VeriTest put Recovery Manager through a comprehensive analysis and the application has met every standard, as defined by Microsoft, for a secure and manageable Windows enterprise solution."
Certification results can be viewed on the VeriTest website.
