Dell Builds Hyper-Fast PC Plant in N.C.
October 17, 2005
Dell Inc.’s new $100 million, 750,000-square-foot plant in Winston-Salem, N.C., will produce a desktop computer every five seconds.
And that rate of output may even be cut in half, the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman reported Monday.
At the rate of one PC every five seconds, the company expects to make 15,000 personal computers each day, Dell officials said.
