The ABC Family cable network has ordered eight more episodes of its freshman series Beautiful People, it was reported Thursday.
The series stars Daphne Zuniga, formerly of Melrose Place, as a single mother who moves with her daughters from New Mexico to New York.
Production on the new episodes will start later this fall with air dates in 2006, Zap2it.com reported.
The episodes will a presented as a continuation of the first season rather than a second season, the network said. The last original episode of Beautiful People aired Sept. 26.
The network picked up its only other original series, Wildfire, for a second season in August.
