China builds first regional platform to share technological equipment resources
NANTONG, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- China has built the first regional platform to share technological equipment resources in the Yangtze Delta Region, according to the Shanghai Municipal Committee of Science and Technology.
Based on the website "www.3gst.com", the platform pools information about 1,200 large-sized peices of technological equipment, worth 2.2 billion yuan (265.06 million US dollars), in eight major cities in the region, including Nantong, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Jiaxing and Shanghai.
The move aims to help different cities share large technological equipment and reduce repetitive investment in technological resources.
Pooling technological equipment resources, the platform will provide professional services for the research institutions in cities in the Yangtze River Region.
The platform will continue to integrate the technological resources in the region in a bid to reduce repetitive governmental investment, according to the Shanghai Municipal Committee of Science and Technology.
