Vodafone to Expand Int'L Roaming Service Network to 128 Markets

Oct. 26--TOKYO -- Vodafone K.K. said Wednesday it will add five more countries to its international roaming service network on Thursday, making its existing third-generation mobile phones workable in 128 nations and regions.
The five new service areas are Uruguay, Oman, the Dominican Republic, East Timor, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vodafone said.
In the 128 countries and regions, Vodafone will have business tie-ups with a total of 177 telecommunications operators for its roaming service.
