Networking Industry Veteran, Rangaswamy (Vasu) Vasudevan Named President and Chief Executive Officer of Leading Network Security Company, netZentry

Palo Alto, Calif., Oct 31 /PRNewswire/ -- netZentry, a leader in advanced network security technologies, today announced that networking industry veteran Rangaswamy (Vasu) Vasudevan has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of netZentry. Dr. Vasudevan brings more than 20 years of experience in leadership, venture capital and networking to netZentry.
A leader in the network security space, netZentry offers FloodGuard(TM) a network security product that uniquely utilizes a scalable and collaborative approach to instantly detect and precisely track anomalous traffic to efficiently mitigate its harmful effects. Throughout his career, Dr. Vasudevan has specialized in networking and operating systems. Prior to CacheFlow he was a Distinguished Engineer with Sun Microsystems, Inc. and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Calgary. Dr. Vasudevan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
