ADERANT Ships Enhanced Practice Management Solution; ADERANT Expert Back Office, Powered By CMS.Net, Release 7.0 Delivers New User Interface and Capabilities to Improve Productivity, Increase Visibility

ADERANT, a global provider of business and financial management software for professional services organizations, today announced the general availability (GA) of an enhanced version of its leading financial and practice management solution, ADERANT Expert Back Office, Powered by CMS.Net. Release 7.0 includes a new user interface and powerful functionality to help professional service firms improve end-user productivity, enhance information visibility, and better support their business processes.

The enhanced version also aligns Expert Back Office more closely with the Microsoft .NET web services-based integration architecture as well as Microsoft Office user interface standards, making the solution exceptionally open and easy to use.

New User Interface

Expert Back Office Release 7.0 includes a new intuitive navigation framework modeled on Microsoft Office. The new navigation provides users with an integrated desktop for all their applications, allowing them to organize and navigate through their available applications using a customizable, role-based folder structure.

ActiveClient

Expert Back Office also introduces an exciting new concept for improving user productivity and increasing information visibility, ActiveClient, which contextually enables the solution with:

-- Interactive Navigation Menus: provide dynamic information within application menus that helps users easily identify business activities that require their attention and act on them.

-- SmartLinks: enables users to drill down into -- and take action on -- key information within any standard Expert Back Office form or inquiry.

-- Homepages: provides a configurable starting screen that displays rich content, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), task lists, browser content, and more.

Native Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005

As a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, ADERANT strives to keep current with the latest innovations from Microsoft, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Expert Back Office Release 7.0 will natively support Microsoft SQL Server 2005, allowing firms to take advantage of the databases' performance increases, new functionality, and support for 64-bit computing.

Best Practice Workflows

Expert Back Office Release 7.0 includes best practice workflows utilizing FloSuite's leading workflow engine that provide front office users with easy-to-use functionality in a browser environment. Expert Back Office includes workflows for check requests and cash receipt deposit requests.

The check request workflow enables users to request a check by entering the check details, which are then routed to the appropriate user for review and approval. The cash receipt deposit request workflow allows users to enter cash receipt details at the point of receipt of a check or other deposit. This information is then routed to the appropriate users for review and execution.

Additional Enhancements

In addition to the above enhancements, Expert Back Office Release 7.0 includes new functionality for:

-- Charting for Browser Inquiries: provides users with a robust infrastructure for creating and distributing interactive, customizable Browser Inquiries charts.

-- General Ledger Drill-Down: allows users to drill down into detailed sub-ledger transactions and analyze General Ledger account balances at multiple levels.

-- Web Content Integration: enables firms to integrate Intranet and Internet content within standard Expert Back Office forms, providing users with a single view of information and functionality across all of their enterprise applications.

-- Trust Application in Billing: provides users with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface to review, apply, and transfer trust funds without requiring them to create several separate transactions within the Billing Desktop.

-- Progress Billing Functionality: enables firms to bill clients a fixed amount before any work has been completed and allows the credit to be optionally applied to WIP bills, even before money has been received.
