Accipiter Responds to Customer Demand By Expanding into New Markets and Online Mediums; Increased Demand and Exceeded Sales Projections Result in New Office Space and Infrastructure Growth

Accipiter Solutions, Inc., an online advertising technology innovator since 1996, today announced the company has branched into new market opportunities in response to growing customer demands. Primarily focused on empowering Web publishers, media networks, and eTailers to maximize their online ad revenue stream, Accipiter has increased its presence in growing markets and mediums such as eCommerce, streaming audio/video, blogging, RSS feeds and podcasting, internet on airlines, wireless networks, and grassroots-based efforts such as "citizen journalism" sites.
Accipiter notes a developing trend with new and existing customers who are trying to extend their ad inventory into more non-traditional media sources such as those described above. An increasing number of online users are turning to these innovative sources for news and information. As a result, mainstream media sources are offering these unique alternatives in an effort to maintain readership rates. From the online advertising industry's perspective, increased demand and popularity for these non-traditional media sources are beginning to drive available online advertising dollars. In response, Accipiter customers require more ad inventory to fulfill what media sources are projected to spend in these areas.
After receiving a $2M capital infusion earlier this year, Accipiter has been on an accelerated growth track as compared to other industry players, increasing industry awareness, developing new technologies, and building a strong infrastructure. Accipiter initially estimated a 30% employee growth plan for the year. However, Accipiter's employee infrastructure has already grown 50% over the course of this year. Accipiter's latest hire is a new VP of client services, Ken Kelly. Ken has over 30 years of experience in the technology arena and will be responsible for leading customers through the implementation process and continuing to support them post-launch. With a stronger management team in place, Accipiter expects to take advantage of these new market opportunities and grow its profitability margin even more.
Accipiter continues to post strong fiscal quarters by pulling in key customer wins, tier/version upgrades, and existing customer contract renewals. The company has acquired a record number of new customers over the past two quarters. New customer acquisition has also resulted in an 86% rise in the number of ad impressions served using Accipiter Hosted technologies over the past six months. In addition, a large percentage of customers have renewed their contractual agreements over the course of the year, increasing the number of ad impressions served using Accipiter technology to over 50 billion per month.
Accipiter's growing business has generated a need for infrastructure changes including new office space. Accipiter recently signed a lease to expand into new office space within their same Raleigh, NC headquarters, increasing available space by 50%.
"We expect to grow our business by up to 70% this year," said Brian Handly, Accipiter CEO. "As our customers continue to expand into new markets and ad serving opportunities, we will be ready to support all of their growing needs - helping us continue that significant growth pattern into next year as well."
