Posted on: Thursday, 3 November 2005, 12:00 CST

TV Guide Channel and on-demand network TV Guide SPOT have teamed up with Premier Retail Networks (PRN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thomson SA (NYSE:TMS), to broadcast TV Guide programming about the best of what's on TV onto PRN's in-store network in grocery and consumer electronics retailers. TV Guide's content will be seen by 57.3 million viewers nationwide per month in more than 3175 stores including Albertson's, Best Buy, Circuit City and Sears. The content will also be made available to run in PRN's other retail partner locations such as Wal-Mart, SAMs Club and Costco.

TV Guide Channel's daily Watch This segments, which are hosted by John Henson and highlight the best of primetime television, will air daily on PRN's in-store grocery network. On-demand network TV Guide SPOT will provide PRN's CE retailer network with a monthly segment that gives a quick take on the best new movies, television premieres and hidden TV gems. TV Guide SPOT's segments will be presented in high definition to take advantage of the latest HD televisions on display in the stores.

"Partnering with PRN to provide our programming on their vast, in-store programming network gives us a great opportunity to showcase original content from TV Guide Channel and TV Guide SPOT in an innovative way while providing PRN Network viewers with entertaining, original content about the best of what to watch on television," said Ryan O'Hara, president, TV Guide Channel.

"PRN's commitment to our retail partners is to bring the best television properties and programming into the retail space. By collaborating with TV Guide to deliver daily TV viewing recommendations to our retailers, PRN is helping to both entertain and inform busy shoppers. Reaching nearly 80 million homes, TV Guide Channel is home to mother and daughter "fashionistas" Joan and Melissa Rivers, who provide live Red Carpet coverage to television's biggest events.
