ABC News Radio's Ann Compton to Be Inducted Into National Radio Hall of Fame

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC News Radio's White House Correspondent, Ann Compton, will be inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago on Saturday, November 5. ABC News White House Correspondent since 1974, Compton is one of five inductees into this year's National Radio Hall of Fame.
Compton will be honored during a formal induction ceremony that will be broadcast live at 10 PM (ET) / 9 PM (CT) on nine radio stations across the country, including: WABC/New York; WGN/Chicago; WLS/Chicago; WPHT/Pittsburgh; WBAP/Dallas; WMAL/Washington; KOGO/San Diego; WKBN/Youngstown; and KKGO/Los Angeles.
Comedians Bud Abbott and Lou Costello of Abbott and Costello, Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman, Pittsburgh Steelers commentator Myron Cope and radio humorist Jean Shepherd are among the other inductees. The National Radio Hall of Fame recognizes and showcases contemporary talent from today's diverse programming formats as well as the pioneers who shaped the medium during its infancy.
