A section of road that has been under construction for more than two years is opening this morning.Widening of 108th Street to four lanes between Giles Road and Harrison Street is nearly complete, said Bill Herr, project manager with the Sarpy County Highway Department. One lane each way will be opened at 9 a.m., he said.
There is still some work to be done on the bridge over the railroad, Herr said, but it should be finished, and the entire road opened, in about two weeks. The project started in July 2003. -- Jason Kuiper
