Acquisition Provides Publisher Prestigious Arkansas Home Design and Lifestyle State-Wide Publishing Platform
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga., Nov. 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Network Communications, the leading publisher of targeted local media serving the real estate and home design markets, announced today that it has purchased At Home in Arkansas magazine. The addition of this leading home design and lifestyle magazine expands Network Communications' footprint to serve affluent readers in the greater Arkansas market.
At Home in Arkansas is the trusted source for information about home design, kitchens & baths, landscaping, lifestyles, entertaining and new products. This monthly magazine reaches readers with the highest household income of any publication focused on the Arkansas market.
"The acquisition of At Home in Arkansas is another step in Network Communications' growth strategy, as the company continues to expand its geographic footprint in the home design magazine market," said Adam Japko, President, Network Communications' Home Design Division. "As we continue to expand Network Communications' market coverage for local home design publications, we are simultaneously organizing and stimulating the local buyer-seller relationships and activity for home design products and services."
The purchase of At Home in Arkansas is the second acquisition announced by Network Communications in three weeks. On October 17th, the company announced it had purchased Atlanta Home Improvement magazine, the leading magazine providing Atlanta home-owners with unique ideas for remodeling, decorating, gardening and home maintenance.
"At Home in Arkansas is a perfect complement for Network Communications' home design family of publications," said Russell McDonough, President and CEO, At Home in Arkansas magazine. "This mutually beneficial relationship will serve both entities well, as Network Communications expands its reach in the home design media market and At Home In Arkansas leverages the expanded resources and deep experience that Network Communications brings to the category."
