Dial-Around Telecom Selects Veraz's Service Delivery Platform to Provide Customized Enhanced Services for Its U.S. Network -- Solution Supplies Dial-Around With Differentiated Services and Additional Revenue Streams

Veraz Networks, Inc. today announced that Dial-Around Telecom, Inc. selected Veraz to customize and deliver enhanced long distance services and international gateway functionality. The 40,000-port VoIP network includes Veraz's ControlSwitch(TM) softswitch and service delivery platform along with its media gateways to provide Dial-Around subscribers access to enhanced services from all major U.S. cities. The new services provide additional revenue streams for Dial-Around and helps differentiate them from the competition.

Leveraging the capabilities of the service delivery platform in the ControlSwitch, Veraz built applications enabling Dial-Around to offer its customers new revenue generating services such as automated collect calling services. These latest offerings are marketed by Dial-Around under the brand names R-Call-by-Call and R-Talk. Veraz also implemented enhanced announcement services enabling Dial-Around to improve the customer experience. For example, tariff announcements enable customers to understand the charges that will be incurred prior to call connection. This enhanced capability increases customer satisfaction and minimizes billing disputes for Dial-Around.

Dial-Around chose Veraz because the Enhanced Long Distance Service solution was based on a programmable service delivery platform and thus enables services to be customized both rapidly and economically. The multi-protocol softswitch and media gateways also played a pivotal role in their decision because this network switching solution enabled Dial-Around to maximize the access to new service offerings.
