CHEYENNE, Wyo., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (BULLETIN BOARD: GLUX) today announced preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of October.
Scheduled service generated 10,634,000 revenue passenger miles (RPM's), a 9.2 percent decrease from the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASM's) decreased 2.1 percent to 23,804,000. As a result, load factor decreased 3.5 points to 44.7 percent. Passengers carried decreased 5.9 percent to 39,836 when compared to October 2004. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 17.3 % from 24.86 cents to 29.17 cents.
For the ten months ending October 31, 2005 compared to the same ten month period in 2004, revenue passenger miles (RPM's) decreased 13.6 percent to 97,875,000 and available seat miles (ASM's) decreased 14.1 percent to 233,799,000, resulting in a load factor of 41.9 percent for the year 2005 compared to 41.6 percent for the same ten month period in 2004. The company carried 367,795 revenue passengers for the ten month period ending October 31, 2005, a 10.2 percent decrease from the prior year. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 15.9% from 22.37 cents to 25.93 cents on a year-over-year basis.

Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger service at 39 airports in ten states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 190 weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 132 flights at Denver, 8 flights at Albuquerque, and 20 flights at Phoenix. All scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines at the Denver International Airport and Phoenix International Airport hubs.
