Motorist Killed By Train

A MOTORIST died after a car was hit by a train on a level crossing yesterday afternoon.

The car was carried “some distance” down the track during the incident, which happened at an unmanned crossing in Swainsthorpe, Norfolk.

The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

“No one on the train was injured. Although it was travelling at speed, the train stayed on the tracks,” said a police spokesman
