Tokyo, Nov. 16 (Jiji Press)--The Japanese unit of Apple Computer Inc. of the United States said Wednesday its iPod portable digital music players have grabbed a market share of about 60 pct in Japan.
The iPod share in the Japanese market has stayed above 50 pct since September and grown to 59.8 pct in the latest survey conducted between Nov. 7 and Saturday, Apple Japan Inc. said, citing data of Tokyo-based information technology-related publisher BCN Inc.
Apple's online music distribution service "iTunes Music Store" and its video iPod released in October helped boost the market share, Apple Japan said.END
