PCS Edventures! Announces Mobile Device Content Delivery

BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 22, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- PCS Edventures! (OTCBB:PCSV) today announced continued expansion and improvement of its IT infrastructure through the enabling of mobile delivery of educational content, fulfillment services, and sales force data. "Our sales force, customer service personnel, warehouse personnel, and trainers, students, and teachers now have access to a variety of our systems through the use of wireless PDA's, as well as text message capable cell phones," said Robert Grover, Chief Technology Officer for PCS Edventures. "Remaining consistent with our vision for a universal IT platform that integrates our educational content and services, for both the international and domestic markets, as well as our business processes, we have taken several areas of our existing system to the next level; formatting and enabling data for delivery to portable devices."
PCS Senior Software Engineer Suhas Pharkute said, "Sales people can now quickly text message database queries to our system from any cell phone and retrieve customer contact information. Functions that used to require five or ten minutes can now be done in less than 60 seconds. Students, trainers, and teachers can also query our support systems to retrieve thousands of terms and illustrations related to our curriculum programs. Depending on the sophistication level of the user's device, these queries are returned as multimedia or simple text messages."
Richard Wright, Director of Curriculum Development for PCS Edventures!, is also excited about the prospects of handheld integration into PCS programs. "Portable devices have the potential to free up students and teachers for more effective hands-on educational experiences by providing instant access to instructions, data acquisition tools, documentation tools, portfolio building capabilities, and more. The embedded, natural use of these high tech tools for fieldwork also familiarizes students with how technology will be used in the real world when they leave school. It's awesome."
