SW China city to host Sino-ASEAN light industry expo
KUNMING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- The 2005 China-ASEAN Light Industry Expo is scheduled to be held from December 8 to 12 in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan province.
Hundreds of enterprises from China and the ASEAN countries will display a wide range of products at the expo, including textiles, furniture, daily chemicals, arts and crafts, jewelry, food processing machineries, vehicles, farming mechanical equipments and household eletrical appliances.
The expo, sponsored by the municipal government, aims at promoting the Greater Mekong Subregion cooperation and the development of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone, and strives for a win-win results, said the expo organizing committee.
Meanwhile, the expo will introduce advanced technologies and managerial concepts in striving for common develoment.
