NEW YORK, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- WysDM Software, Inc., a leading provider of innovative Data Protection Management (DPM) solutions, today announced that it has signed InTechnology, provider of unified IT infrastructure, as its first distributor in Europe. InTechnology will be distributing WysDM for Backups(TM) and WysDM for Fileservers(TM) to resellers in the data storage, data management and data security markets.
InTechnology is a value-added distributor, providing innovative IT infrastructure solutions, products and services to business through a network of value-added resellers, systems integrators and consultants. To offer the best data protection, backup and recovery solutions to its customers, InTechnology will now integrate WysDM's advanced DPM software family into its comprehensive backup offering.
Steve Pearce, COO for InTechnology said, "Hundreds of our customers dump data every day into our servers via our VBAK solution. The challenge for us is to manage this data coming in from disparate systems. WysDM allows us to manage our backend data center more efficiently and monitor issues like capacity and performance from the WysDM dashboard. The main benefit for us is that we can establish service level agreements with our customers and benchmark our offering. Now that we are distributing WysDM our customers can benefit from these features too."
WysDM Software Takes Data Protection Management to a New Level
WysDM's adaptive architecture and patent-pending Cross-Domain Correlation(TM), coupled with fine-grained service level reporting and predictive analytics ensure the health and state of critical backup and recovery environments. WysDM for Backups provides the strategic insight to evaluate, monitor and manage even the largest and most complex of backup environments. WysDM's data protection management platform obtains data from all major components of the network environment including servers, storage and applications and provides a comprehensive set of reports on all aspects of backup operations, from service level agreements to regulatory compliance to per-device performance. As a result, IT administrators can now efficiently manage their backup environment and dramatically reduce risk exposure.
Exploiting the power of WysDM's data protection management platform, WysDM for Fileservers provides the visibility required to understand enterprise fileserver environments. WysDM for Fileservers obtains information from all Network Appliance filers and NearStores. This information allows WysDM for Fileservers to provide a comprehensive set of reports on all aspects of fileserver operation, from hardware configuration to per-process performance. This allows users to proactively compare configurations between fileservers and flag differences to guard against potential future failures and eliminate costly downtime.
"We're very excited to be partnering with InTechnology, our first European distributor," said Alan Atkinson, CEO of WysDM. "InTechnology has years of experience and knowledge of the data storage market. Our products complement InTechnology's existing offering and strengthens our position in the market place as the leading provider of DPM solutions worldwide."
InTechnology has standardized on WysDM for Backups and WysDM for Fileservers in its own backup strategy. "We have seen the benefits for ourselves and now we want to share those benefits with our customers," said Pearce.
As part of the agreement, InTechnology will distribute WysDM for Backups and WysDM for Fileservers throughout the UK and Europe.
