EqualLogic, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise-class iSCSI storage area network (SAN) solutions, announced today that former Microsoft executive Bob Skelley has joined the company as vice president of channel development. In this position, Skelley will manage the company's channel development programs to enhance the business opportunity of the company's network of channel partners. Skelley also will be responsible for selectively recruiting new partners worldwide.
"EqualLogic's channel partner program continues to experience steady business growth both domestically and abroad," said Don Bulens, president and CEO of EqualLogic. "With Bob's tremendous experience in cultivating a vibrant channel, we will continue to strengthen and expand the network of integration and consulting partners who deliver EqualLogic's unique storage solutions to companies around the globe."
Skelley has 20 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing. During his career at Microsoft he managed OEM, system builder, value-added reseller (VAR) and distribution businesses. Most recently, as Microsoft's director of U.S. distribution and VAR channels, Skelley led the turnaround and reinvigoration of Microsoft's VAR channel, boosting satisfaction ratings among top resellers and increasing Microsoft's channel-driven sales revenue by expanding product adoption and market opportunities.
"The demand for EqualLogic's innovative networked storage solution has led to a fast-growing opportunity for channel partners," said Bob Skelley, EqualLogic's vice president of channel development. "Working closely with our partners in key markets, EqualLogic will continue to build strong channel programs that produce solid revenue growth and further the company's market leadership in enterprise-class SANs."
