Pactolus Appoints VPs of Engineering and Advanced Technology Development, Supports Customer and Product Growth With New Facilities

VP of Engineering Steve Weeks Joins Industry's Leading Carrier IP Voice Services Vendor; Pactolus Expands To New Headquarters Facility
Pactolus Communications Software Corporation, the leading developer of Class 4/5 SIP-based IP voice services, today announced that Steve Weeks has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing the ongoing development and extension of Pactolus' widely-deployed SIPware(TM) Services Suite, and the RapidFLEX(TM) Service Delivery Platform. Jeff Gibson takes on the new role of Vice President of Advanced Technology Development, working directly with Founder and CTO David Horton to lead strategic initiatives leveraging emerging market opportunities such as IMS. Pactolus also today announced the relocation of its headquarters to a new 13,000 square foot facility in Marlborough, Mass. to accommodate its rapid, ongoing expansion. Pactolus now supports more than 30 service providers worldwide through direct and partner deployments.

Weeks brings extensive startup and global corporation engineering experience to Pactolus, and was most recently VP of Engineering for Brontes Technology. As Vice President of Research and Development for NBX Corporation, Weeks led the development of the industry's first market-viable packet-switched PBX; upon 3Com's acquisition of NBX, he became Senior Director of Engineering for 3Com's Voice Engineering Group, leading a large, globally distributed team in ongoing VoIP and IP product development and initiatives such as PSTN-IP integration and internationalization. Weeks previously served as Assistant Vice President of New Product Development for Boston Technology and Vice President of Product Development for ICL.
Weeks holds a BS in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science from Pepperdine University. He is named in granted United States patents for telecommunications packet forwarding and collision avoidance, PBX modem access technologies, and Ethernet traffic isolation.
Pactolus' new headquarters in Marlborough, Mass. features state-of-the-art development and testing laboratories, customer and partner certification and compliance facilities to support domestic and global deployments, and advanced customer care, sales and marketing facilities that support the company's ongoing expansion.
