SAN FRANCISCO -- Police in San Jose, California, have arrested a 16-year-old boy for making a death threat to a 13-year-old girl in a text message sent over his cell phone, a police spokesman said on Friday.
The girl reported the message she received on her own cell phone to her school administrators and they informed police, said San Jose Police Officer Enrique Garcia.
"On Tuesday she ended up getting a text message from him saying he was going to shoot her, her friends and anyone who got in his way," Garcia said.
Police arrested the boy on Wednesday and booked him on suspicion of making terrorist threats.
