Verso Announces NetPerformer(R) Solution Selected for China's Second Manned Space Mission

Verso Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSO) a leading provider of packet-based solutions, announced today that the Chinese government successfully utilized its NetPerformer SDM-9230 solution to transmit images of the recent Shenszhou VI Spacecraft during China's recent manned space mission.

Verso partnered with distributor Dove Communications, a satellite communications and multi-media WAN systems integrator, to supply the government with voice and video capabilities during the mission. Dove outfitted China's Shenzhou-6 Spacecraft with a portable satellite station, and upon re-entry of the craft at the main touchdown area, voice and video feeds were immediately transmitted back to Beijing mission control center by NetPerformer SDM-9230 via satellite. Images were then shown on state televisions and viewed by millions of people.

The NetPerformer SDM-9230 uses award-winning, field-proven digital convergence technology to compress voice and data technology over efficient packet-based networks, effectively integrating disparate PBX systems.
