A federal air marshal opened fire Wednesday after an American Airlines plane landed at Miami International Airport, CNN said.
A man reportedly was shot but there was no immediate word on his condition, CBS Radio reported.
There was also some confusion over whether the gunfire occurred on the plane itself or just outside the aircraft door on the ramp leading from the plane to the terminal concourse.
The Boeing 757 was making a stopover in Miami on a flight from Medellin, Colombia. The plane was to have continued on to Orlando, Fla.
Police SWAT teams reportedly surrounded the plane.
