Spirit Airlines Reports November 2005 Traffic

December 8, 2005

Spirit Airlines reports November 2005 traffic. Spirit carried 314,633 passengers, 21.2% fewer than last November. Spirit achieved a 71.2% load factor, which was 7.1 points fewer than November 2004. Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) reached 295,889,000 and Available Seat Miles (ASMs) reached 415,390,000.

“Throughout the fall, we aggressively managed our schedule capacity to fly less and November was no exception. In November, we optimized revenue versus volume and our financial results have met expectations,” said Ben Baldanza, president and chief operating officer of Spirit Airlines. “I’m encouraged by our results as they reflect a successful strategy that will take us through the current environment especially as we complete our transition to an all new Airbus fleet.”
