Malaysian airline plane makes emergency landing in Manila
MANILA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- A Malaysian Airlines plane made an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila Thursday afternoon after one of the plane's engines broke down, said airport officials.
Flight MH086 Boeing 737 bound for Kaoshiung, Taiwan of China from Kuala Lumpur had 84 passengers and seven crew members on board, said the officials. It landed at the airport at about 18:00 local time (1000 GMT).
The plane is being inspected by technicians to check its air worthiness.
