MicroTel International's Subsidiaries Achieve the New ISO9001-2000 Quality Accreditation

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2003--MicroTel International Inc. (OTCBB:MCTL) (MicroTel), an international manufacturer of electronic components, subsystems and communications equipment, today announced that three of its major subsidiaries have secured the ISO9001-2000 quality accreditation replacing their previous ISO9000 certification which is crucial to the development of our Fortune 100 centered customer base. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from 130 countries throughout the world.

Carmine T. Oliva, MicroTel's Chairman, President and CEO stated, "The achievement of these new quality standards by our subsidiaries, XET Corporation, XCEL Power Systems Ltd.
