Mobile-8 Of Indonesia Deploys Comverse's Real-Time Converged Billing Solution, For Prepaid & Post-Paid Voice & Data Services

WOODBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2003--Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communications services, today announced that new Indonesian operator Mobile-8 has deployed its Real-Time Billing System as an end-to-end solution for converged billing in its network. The solution supports billing for prepaid and post-paid subscribers, and voice and data services, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in a CDMA 20001X network environment.

The Comverse solution represents a step forward in the delivery of real-time billing, with all service requests - calls, data services, etc. - being authorized in real-time to all subscribers. The Comverse system delivers real-time rating and charging, provides immediate service authorization, and offers instant access to subscriber usage information. The latest IS-826 Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN) technology is used to deliver these features in an efficient way. Comverse's data monitoring technology is used to enable real-time billing for wireless data services to both prepaid and post-paid subscribers.
