NEW YORK, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CitiBusiness(R) / AAdvantage(R) cardmembers now earn double American Airlines AAdvantage(R) miles for every dollar spent on tickets, upgrades, vacation packages, and Admirals Club memberships purchased through American Airlines. For example, purchasing an American Airlines ticket that costs $500 on a CitiBusiness(R) / AAdvantage(R) card, which would normally allow a cardmember to earn 500 AAdvantage(R) miles for the purchase, will now earn 1,000 AAdvantage(R) miles for the purchase when charged to a CitiBusiness(R) / AAdvantage(R) card in addition to the flight miles the member already earns. The additional AAdvantage(R) mile earned for American Airlines purchases will show on the cardmembers' monthly statement, along with the standard one AAdvantage(R) mile per dollar spent on all other purchases.
AAdvantage(R) program benefits for cardmembers include no blackout dates on AAdvantage(R) award travel and miles that may never expire. In addition, cardmembers are eligible for Reduced Mileage awards, which allow members to redeem AAdvantage(R) awards for fewer miles to select destinations.
