Customs and Border Protection Taps Apptis for Tech Support Services

U.S Customs and Border Protection has turned to technology service provider Apptis Inc. for help refining processes and procedures related to IT program management.
Under a $5 million contract, Apptis of Chantilly, Va., will provide a wide range of support services to the agency's Program Integration Division under a newly awarded contract.
The company will develop and improve processes, procedures and tools for the agency's Office of Information Technology. Apptis also will facilitate oversight audits of the agency by the General Accountability Office, Office of Inspector General and the Homeland Security Department on the IT office's programs.
The company provides managed IT solutions, enterprise support services, network engineering and convergence, software engineering and development, IT security and business process outsourcing to the government and commercial sectors.
Apptis, which has about 1,400 employees and annual sales of more than $600 million, ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
