Rearden Commerce and WorldTravel BTI Form New Alliance

December 14, 2005

SAN MATEO, Calif. and ATLANTA, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ — Rearden Commerce, Inc. and WorldTravel BTI today announced that they have entered into a broad-based sales, marketing and deployment partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, WorldTravel BTI will jointly sell, market and deploy the Rearden Commerce solution to provide clients with an expanded array of employee services, and resulting procurement savings and productivity gains. In addition, the alliance will immediately increase Rearden Commerce’s market reach in the corporate travel market.

Unlike any offering on the market, Rearden Commerce provides a next-generation commerce platform and global reservation system for services of all kinds. The solution — essentially an online personal assistant — links organizations to more than 130,000 global suppliers and enables end- users to schedule, purchase and manage a wide array of business services, including travel services, package shipping, audio/web conferencing, dining reservations, as well as future service offerings. With this alliance, WorldTravel BTI becomes the first global travel management company to provide clients with an expanded end-to-end services management solution that not only includes a myriad of consultative and business services, but also the ability to book a variety of services as they relate to a single business trip. The alliance will enable clients to fully integrate their preferred content suppliers into a policy and sourcing optimization system.

Mike Buckman, CEO of WorldTravel BTI said, “We see this initiative as an exciting and natural extension of our global travel portal offerings, but with expanded and powerful technology, additional content, service offerings, and savings opportunities to bring to our mutual clients. We see this as another opportunity to help clients make sense out of the endless options in the marketplace and tailor them to their own economic advantage.”

The Rearden Commerce-WorldTravel BTI alliance was prompted by mutual clients who identified natural synergies between the two companies. For Rearden Commerce, this alliance marks its first step toward an expanded channel-specific sales strategy and is a key milestone in enabling its global ecosystem. “The support and expertise of a proven, world-class travel management company will help us further extend our market reach and bring an important industry solution to organizations around the globe,” said Patrick Grady, founder and CEO of Rearden Commerce. “As a result, our mutual customers will greatly benefit from a revolutionary, easy-to-use solution that enables users to purchase and manage a variety of employee-centric services while remaining compliant with corporate policies.”
