Klocwork Appoints New Vice Presidents of Sales and Product Management; Lotus and Entrust Veterans Bring Over 40 Years of Experience

Posted on: Thursday, 15 December 2005, 12:00 CST

Klocwork Inc., the leading provider of automated software solutions that improve software security and quality, today announced the appointment of two senior level executives: Ian Gordon as vice president of product management, and Tom Millea as vice president of sales. Millea will leverage his 20 plus years of enterprise sales management experience and passion for delivering customer value to help drive Klocwork's revenue and customer acquisition goals in 2006 and beyond. Gordon, who has 19 years of industry experience as a strategic leader with success in product marketing and management for telecom and software security and mobile software organizations, will lead Klocwork's product management efforts. With the addition of both executives, Klocwork is positioned to capitalize on the growing requirement that all software, through static analysis testing and quality assurance initiatives, be free of potential security vulnerabilities and operational defects.

"Tom and Ian come to Klocwork with proven success and have a deep understanding of our goals and market," said Mike Laginski, CEO of Klocwork. "Klocwork saw a tremendous spike in customer implementations in 2005 and is aggressively looking to accelerate both adoption rates in existing customers, and adding new customers. We are confident that Tom and Ian will contribute to our consistent growth, and ensure that our products continue to lead the market for software quality and security requirements in 2006."

Prior to joining Klocwork, Millea was the director of sales for the Federal and Southeast US business at Attachmate, where he successfully led his team to the top revenue performance worldwide in 2004. Prior to that, Millea held a number of sales, sales management and executive roles at Lotus and IBM. He joined Lotus in 1984 and won many awards as both an individual contributor and a sales manager. In his last assignment at Lotus, he ran the sales, services and marketing teams as vice president and general manager for the Americas.

Gordon, prior to joining Klocwork, was co-founder and vice president of marketing and product management at Credant Technologies, a provider of enterprise security software for mobile devices. At Credant, he teamed with the company's sales staff to drive sales of more than 1 million licenses in less than 3 years, with many of those licenses sold to Global 500 organizations. In addition, Credant was recognized by analyst firm Gartner as the visionary leader in Mobile Data Protection for two consecutive years, due to his development of innovative product plans and marketing strategies. Gordon also held positions at Entrust Technologies as a director of product marketing, where he launched an innovative PC web security product that generated more than half of Entrust's revenue within one year, and at Nortel Networks as a product and development manager.
