Posted on: Monday, 17 November 2003, 06:00 CST

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- COMDEX -- NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc., the number one stand-alone vendor of flat panel desktop displays, today announced its next generation of NEC AccuSync Series CRT monitors. Offering vibrant, razor-sharp images, the value-driven 15-inch NEC AccuSync 500, 17-inch 700, 700M, 750F and 19-inch 900 monitors replace the existing NEC AccuSync CRT monitor line with the exception of the NEC AccuSync 95F and the NEC AccuSync 120. The wide range of screen sizes and variety of features, including multimedia capabilities, enable users to choose a model that best meets the requirements of their home office, small-to-medium-sized business, government or educational environment.

With competitive estimated street prices for mainstream users, the monitors display crisp, easy-to-read text and graphics with maximum resolutions of 1280 x 1024 @ 66Hz for the 15-inch and 17-inch models and 1600 x 1200 @ 76Hz for the 19-inch unit. Reducing eyestrain and fatigue as well as improving comfort, the NEC AccuSync Series CRT monitors offer high refresh rates for continuous flicker-free images.

Engineered to allow comfortable viewing of text and graphics, the NEC AccuSync Series CRT monitors are equipped with ErgoDesign(R) enhancements including a tilt and swivel base and OSM(TM) controls that allow users to facilitate quick and easy image adjustments. Multimedia performance is available with the NEC AccuSync 700M, freeing up valuable work space with integrated speakers and delivering impressive sound quality for public or private listening. The NEC AccuSync 750F utilizes NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display's enhanced ClearFlat(TM) Shadow Mask flat-screen technology to deliver virtually flat images that eliminate distortion and reduce glare, producing realistic and lifelike on-screen images.

"At NEC-Mitsubishi we are committed to providing system builders, small- to-medium-sized business, home office, government and education users with quality monitors at a tremendous value," said Hans Baumann, senior product manager, NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc. "The new NEC AccuSync Series CRT monitors provide professionals with a scope of diverse features, while delivering the performance and reliability that have become synonymous with NEC-Mitsubishi."

Additional Features for the NEC AccuSync Series CRT Monitors:

-- Plug and Play compatibility automatically optimizes display performance

and minimizes setup and installation time by allowing the monitor to

send its capabilities (such as screen size and resolutions supported)

directly to the computer.

-- Advanced Opticlear(R) screen coating for quality screen performance.

-- On Screen Manager (OSM(R)) provides complete control of screen setting

adjustments.

-- PC and Macintosh(R) compatibility offers flexible system support with

multiple resolutions.

-- FullScan(R) capabilities enable edge to edge viewing and prevent

distracting black border.

-- Dual Dynamic Beam Focus allows for precise, continuous focus

adjustments for optimum image quality (not available on the NEC

AccuSync 500).

-- Intelligent Power Manager (IPM(R)) uses innovative power saving methods

that enable the monitors to shift to a lower power consumption level

when not in use, reducing energy costs by up to two-thirds while the

monitor is idling.

Pricing, Shipping and Availability
