NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc. Appoints T.J. Trojan As President and Chief Operating Officer

CHICAGO, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc., the number one stand-alone vendor of flat panel desktop displays, today announced the promotion of T.J. Trojan to president and chief operating officer. Effective October 1st, Mr. Trojan will be responsible for NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display's strategic direction in North America, expanding the company's growth in new display applications for consumers, businesses and specialty markets. Having most recently served as senior vice president, Mr. Trojan succeeds Sadao Yamazaki who is retiring as president after a long career in technology management.

"During this next phase of NEC-Mitsubishi's maturity and into the future, T.J.'s leadership skills, business acumen and technical knowledge will be a driving force in accelerating the adoption of the company's large LCD information displays for conference presentations, information kiosks, financial exchanges, public displays, trade show exhibits, and retail and airport signage," said Hirotoshi Matsuda, president of NEC-Mitsubishi Electric Visual Systems and CEO of NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display. "Since joining the company in 1987, T.J. has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to successfully lead North American teams and in the last year has extended the company's operations beyond the desktop with new large screen applications."

A seasoned operations executive of LCD and CRT monitors, Mr. Trojan brings over two decades of industry experience to his new role as president and COO. Since July 1, 2003, T.J. has served as the senior vice president, providing leadership in the areas of sales, customer service, product development and marketing. Prior to that, he was the senior vice president of sales and service, a role that he held since the joint venture company began operation on July 1, 2000. As an officer of NEC-Mitsubishi Electric Visual Systems, Mr. Trojan will report directly to Mr. Matsuda who is based in Japan, helping to foster a strong partnership with parent company NEC-Mitsubishi Electric Visual Systems.
