Qpass Launches the Qpass Media and Application Provider (Q-MAP) Program, Expanding Its Worldwide Content Developer Community

Posted on: Monday, 19 December 2005, 09:00 CST

Q-MAP Provides an Easy and Efficient Program with Information, Resources and Distribution Opportunities That Help Content Providers Grow Revenue

Qpass, a leading mobile commerce software and solutions company, today announced the launch of its worldwide developer program, Q-MAP (Qpass Media and Application Provider). This new program allows Qpass' existing worldwide content partners to join an enhanced program providing them with easy to access information, resources, SDK's and distribution opportunities. Qpass content partners span the globe and currently include partners in more than 20 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, Philippines, Slovakia, South Africa, United Kingdom, and United States.

"Qpass is a technology that is common to many of our carrier integrations," said Ron Erickson, CEO, Blue Frog Mobile. "Q-MAP provides resources that help us build and offer our applications in more innovative ways to operators. This program helps us take full advantage of Qpass system capabilities and makes it easier to integrate with new operators that we may not reach today."

Q-MAP provides developers with resources to position themselves as premier Qpass partners with comprehensive technologies and solutions. Qpass also includes partners and their products in its directory of content/media providers. The directory is available to Qpass customers as a way to populate and maintain retail content stores with content and media offerings.

"Because our technology is flexible and non-proprietary, developers can build Qpass hooks into their applications and services regardless of the technologies they use to create them," said Eric Landeen, Director, Q-MAP Program. "Q-MAP gives us the ability to offer the content and media community an efficient way to access Qpass resources and ultimately more distribution and revenue for their businesses."

Qpass' products are used by operators and other content retailers to promote, offer, bill, and deliver premium mobile data products and services. Unlike other technologies, Qpass' platforms are used to offer and process transactions for premium content services regardless of offer bearer, content type, or delivery mechanism.
