City Police Study Teen's Death

Dec. 20--Oklahoma City police are investigating an accident that killed a Moore teenager.
Police arrested Jesse Taylor St. Clair, 18, of of Moore on Saturday on complaints of second-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol in the accident that killed his passenger, Floyd Denton Steelman, 16, of Moore.
According to police reports, St. Clair was driving on NW 10 near Cimarron Road on Saturday morning when he drove up an embankment and struck several trees.
Steelman was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel and St. Clair was taken to Mercy Health Center. Another passenger, David Eugene Steelman, 18, was taken to Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital.
Authorities could not provide information on the medical conditions of St. Clair or David Steelman Monday.
A police report states that at the hospital, St. Clair told officers he was speeding and lost control of the Jeep he was driving. Officers detected the odor of alcohol while talking with St. Clair and then arrested him, the report states.
