Orative Receives Internet Telephony(R) Magazine's 'Product of the Year' Award for 2005

Posted on: Wednesday, 4 January 2006, 09:00 CST

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Orative, a leader in enterprise mobile telephony, today announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine (http://www.itmag.com/) has recognized Orative(R) Enterprise Software with a 2005 Product of the Year Award. INTERNET TELEPHONY has been the VoIP Authority Since 1998(TM).

First released in the spring of 2005, Orative Enterprise Software streamlines voice communications between increasingly mobile enterprise employees. Orative software combines presence technology, directory integration and secure messaging to create a rich set of features that extend core business functionality to standard mobile handsets. Orative software gives employees the ability to quickly and easily reach co-workers so that they can ask for help, make decisions and accelerate business processes.

"Each year INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Orative has demonstrated to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that its team is committed to quality and innovation delivering a product that is addressing real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY.

Orative Enterprise Software is a client-server solution purchased and operated by enterprise customers. The solution works across different networks and a variety of mobile handsets supporting BREW(R), J2ME(TM) and Symbian OS(TM) operating environments. A presence-enabled phone book makes it possible for a caller to determine at-a-glance if somebody is available to talk before actually placing a call. On the receiving side, the software allows users to gauge the importance of incoming calls by displaying details such as name, priority and subject matter on the handset. In addition to presence information, the solution also provides the ability to quickly coordinate conversations, collaborate with colleagues, screen unwanted calls and interruptions, and access enterprise phone directories.

"Mobile employees require new solutions to extend enterprise functionality while they are away from their desks," said Paul Fulton, CEO of Orative. "People need to get answers and to resolve critical issues quickly in order to meet business and customer needs. We are pleased to receive this award and we look forward to delivering new innovations for mobile telephony in 2006."
