LogiXML Invites Orphaned Cognos(R) Impromptu(R) Users to Convert to LGX Managed Reporting Products

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- LogiXML (http://www.logixml.com/) today announces a special program directed to organizations who have built their managed reporting applications on the Impromptu software product from Cognos Incorporated and are now facing discontinuation of the product. LogiXML is providing an alternative and cost effective upgrade path to a web-based, standards-based reporting architecture.
LogiXML is offering a 25% discount on license fees for its LGX managed reporting products to organizations that convert their Impromptu reporting applications to LogiXML. In addition, LogiXML will offer a 40% discount on conversion services to support the move to LGX products. The offer is valid for Impromptu users through March 31, 2006.
When conversion is complete, Impromptu users will appreciate the fact that:
