New Global Telecom Earns 2006 Service of the Year Award for the North American IP Communication Service Markets

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan is happy to present the 2006 Service of the Year Award in the North American IP communication service market to New Global Telecom (NGT) for its advanced and innovative wholesale IP telephony services. Throughout 2005, NGT emerged as the leader in wholesale IP telephony services with its 6DegreesIP product suite. This suite offers great value to a broad base of service providers wishing to tap into the growing and rapidly evolving residential and business voice over IP (VoIP) service markets in North America.

As of November 2005, NGT boasted over 45 wholesale customers including unbundled network element platform (UNE-P) competitive local exchange carriers, Internet service providers, application service providers, data network providers, Tier 1 U.S. carriers and some Tier 1 overseas carriers. By Q4 of 2005, approximately 78 percent of NGT's end-user seats were business users and 22 percent were residential users. During the current quarter, NGT anticipates that the percentage of business users will rise to 85 percent.
Some factors that have aided NGT's growth include its reputation and experience in delivering voice services and solutions, the breadth of its product portfolio, and the uniqueness of its advanced hosted IP telephony solution. For instance, NGT can typically implement a solution in less than 90 days and each of the company's customers receives focused Account Management support, in-depth training, as well as sales and 'white label' marketing support to augment their launch and expansion activities. Based on customer feedback, NGT has added audio & web conferencing, origination, termination, 800 service, international service, 729 support, state-based billing, an integrated telephony toolbar used in Outlook and Explorer, trunk replacement and additional device certifications. Furthermore, NGT has developed a nomadic E911-compliant solution, in addition to deployment of on-net calling through an IP peering point.
